Why?
He has voted to use the notwithstanding clause 4 separate times to take away the rights of others by preventing court challenges to the laws created by the UCP. This includes teachers, 2SLGBTQ+ youth and their parents.
He voted for changes and cuts to the AISH program-many of whom live in this riding-resulting in lower income, and minimizing the appeal process for those with disabilities.
He voted to take away your CPP and to opt out of the federal prescription drug plan
He always votes with the UCP party. They are promoting two-tiered privatized health care. They are not addressing waiting room times or the overburdened health care system in a way that actually helps all Albertans.
His voting record clearly shows he DOES NOT CARE about his constituents, or making life better or more affordable for the folks who live in Calgary-East. Peter Singh votes for his party over his constituents ALWAYS. We deserve an MLA that will do their job, respond to emails and concerns, and LISTEN to the people he is responsible for.

What happens if we are successful?
A successful recall petition means that we hold a recall vote. If the riding votes to recall our MLA, a by-election is held where he could choose to run again or the UCP can put forward a new candidate. You will have a variety of other candidates to choose from, and our riding can elect whomever we want-all parties can run in a fair and democratic electoral process.
